It seems it’s hopless. Everywhere is full. Cats Protection people have said they would take her but they are rammed so can’t take her yet. Blue Cross said much the same, and told me Withall were also full to bursting. Cramar – full have stopped taking names on to the waiting list. Lady at Cramar was very helpful, and gave me some good advice – about what to put down for her – seeing as there will now be noone to feed her at all. She also suggested I ring Cats Protection again on Saturday, and Sunday – in case they’ve rehomed other cats and they can suddenly find a space, but I don’t hold out much hope. The upshot is that I have gone on to the Argos web site and reserved this.
Considering I have always said I can’t afford all the doings that come with pet ownership – and of course this is not my cat. I am left wondering how much money I would spend on an animal I did own. Oh well – maybe she won’t completley starve. But I bet she’ll be glad to see me next Friday. I also have to go out and get some dry cat food for her – which I will do when I am in Kings Heath tomorrow. So it would seem we are stuck with each other for now at least.
